Something Mindless

I'm pooped today for a variety of reasons and want to post something just for a connection with the outside world, but don't have the brainpower to do anything mentally taxing. So here's a little eye candy that's totally frivolous. I spied this coat and think it's adorable. Even better, it also comes in raspberry, green, turquoise, navy, and black. It's a cheaper version of the trés chic JCrew Plaza Coat that I have been in love with for the last three years. Unfortunately, said jacket costs a mere $325 and is, for obvious reasons, waaaay out of my price range.
My obsession with jackets is wide-ranging and includes tailored coats as well. It's a byproduct of living on the East Coast where such a piece is a staple of every woman's winter wardrobe. But on the East Coast, naturally the color of choice would be black.

Unless you are Bekka, whose childless, optional coat climate self, pines for the luxurious winter white.
Oh winter white, you've burned me once. I'm powerless before your chicness. I'm sure you'll burn me again.

This isn't related to the cute coat, but I was reading in my BYU magazine today and there was a short article about an alumni who has a child with 8 severe food allergies and a book she's published, Sophie-Safe Cooking, with recipes she's developed. The author's name is Emily Beer Hendrix. I don't know if you still have struggles with Ben, but I thought I'd let you know of the book in case you still do. And, we are just starting to search for baby names. Nick didn't have any girl ideas so we may end up with a more mainstream girl name.

Love it.

Are you burned out with potty training? I thought I was going to lay down and die while I was pt with Madi...wait, maybe that's just what I wanted to happen. :)

Hang in there!

There are some cute ones at Old Navy right now! You may want to check it out ASAP. (p.s. they are not on line) The one I bought was only $39. I'd have to say I also have a coat thing! (Just no money to buy any!!!)
