Baby No More

Lucy turns 11 months old tomorrow and we are on her last canister of formula. Once that's gone we'll make the big switch to real milk and work on getting rid of the bottle. She also started crawling about two weeks ago and cruises everywhere, trying to pull herself up on furniture, her crib, and my legs. Three teeth are coming in so she's a little peevish because of that, but still our bright eyed, happy girl for the most part. Lucy hasn't attempted the stairs yet, but I think it's just a matter of time. Ben was never a climber, but I can tell that Lucy is different. She might be the one who has to have a crib tent to contain her. We're still trying to figure out a solution for blocking the top of the stairs because it's an extra-wide opening without flush surfaces because of the bannister and crown molding. Any ideas?

I can't believe we're at these milestones already. Where did the last year go??

As much as I love pictures of formula, how about a picture of the growing girl herself? It's been too long since I've seen her! I'll show you my baby if you show me yours? :)

We have the same problem with our banisters so Eric hooked 2 by 4s to the banisters with giant U clamps and then screwed the baby gate into those 2 by 4s. So when we're done with the baby gate we can simply undo the U clamp (nuts and bolts) and there won't be any marks in our wooden banisters. :)
Hope I didn't make that sound really confusing. Email me if you have questions.
