Only five and a half hours until Michael Scott and Co. are back in action! I'll be scurrying home from book club in time to watch. Yes, the life of people without Tivo. Will you be tuning in as well or is there another season premiere you're anxiously awaiting?P.S. Is it just me, or could Jim Halpert be Andy's celebrity double? Granted, Andy would have to grow a shaggy mane.
P.P.S. Below is a great movie re-we watched this week. An inspiring movie about a man who decides to swim the English Channel after he loses his job at a shipbuilding yard and is dealing with the death of his son 30 years earlier. Sounds like a downer, but it's not. It does take a while to get used to the thick accents, but definitely worth watching.

Nollie, I would have totally missed this! Good thing I checked your blog today. Matt is out of town and will want to watch it too, so maybe I can record it and pretend I didn't cheat and watch it live. Hope you're well!!
I love that movie! It was excellent. We are excited for the office too.
I have long thought Jim and Andy were doubles. We will certainly be watching tonight, and are glad we have the DVR since Steve has parent-teacher night and I have to run the YW volleyball games(with boys in tow - exciting). I think we will be well in need of the Office by the time we get home. Watching the Office has become a "weekend eve" party at our house. Glad the cause to celebrate is back.
We LOVE the Office! I'm anxiously waiting for Joseph to get home from school so we can watch it. (Life with DVR). I'd never thought of Jim and Andy...I'll be comparing tonight though! I hope this Season Premiere is worth the wait!!!
P.S. Did you get your tickets to the race? I loved the My Fair Lady reference. I didn't know people still dressed up like that! That would be a blast!!!
We totally watch movies with subtitles when the accents are thick! Kind of dorks I know. Anyways, I know you asked for our blog so here you go www.xanga.com/kimballs Hope you still like us after reading through the boring mess!
Mark and I are totally Office junkies. We have marathons and watch it for hours! So excited for the new season!
So...since I'm commenting post-Office...what'd you think? Did it live up to your expectations?
oh yes, we love us some Office 'round here! we also love survivor, which is on at the same time. we DVR them both so we don't have to deal with commercials though-- once you have it, you can't live without it!
Nollie, thank you for this reminder, I would have missed it!! Thanks also for the movie recommendation...it is on my netflix queue. Love your blog!
Yes - we love it, yes - we were watching, no - I don't think it lived up to my expectations. Too much Dwight & Angela sneaking off and Michael, once again, imitating Ryan. It was ok, but I was really hoping for some of the great material that makes the Office a 'can't-miss.'
and Office did not disappoint!! Wasn't it great?! Another engaged couple. I love your blog, keep me updated.
