Strange but true. Yesterday we were stuck in the Columbus Zoo for over an hour because of an escaped reindeer. They quarantined everyone until the zookeepers could catch it. Thankfully no mass hysteria or pandemonium and the kids enjoyed the free drinks they gave out to keep the crowds happy.

that's so funny...at 3 i saw your car still outside and thought, "wow, that was a really long trip to the zoo!"..until i saw the news last night! how crazy for you guys!
That's hilarious! And it's kind of sad, too. If the animal really wants to get out so bad, it seems almost cruel to lasso it and bring it back to the cage.
BTW, I loved East of Eden. Is this the first time you've read it? What do you think?
