I'm on the verge of diving into the first episode of Season One of the highly acclaimed
Downton Abbey. Literally, I'll push play as soon as this post is published. Multiple sources report that it's not only highly entertaining, but also highly addicting. I keep reading that the character's outfits are amazing as well. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good costume drama. This could be the commencement of many winter nights spent glued to the computer screen. Thanks to E for reminding me that you can watch it for free on pbs. org. In true highbrow fashion, a toast to not having to spring for a Netflix subscription!

I LOVE Downton Abbey! Just a warning though...in one of the first episodes there's a little something that happens between two guys that is uncomfortable (not explicit) but it is not indicative of the rest of the series! I will admit, I stayed up until 4 am when Ben was on call one night to finish all 7 episodes. Well worth it.
Downton is so good! I love it. The first season is good, and it just gets better. You probably know season two premiered last night on PBS, but my friend and I couldn't wait and watched all 9 hour+ episodes in two days before the first one even aired! I love the depth and well written stories given to so many characters, and of course the costumes and setting of it all. I would love to chat about it with you. It's seriously been the main topic of convo between me and my friends for the past week. Oh the drama!
I don't know nothing about Downton but I do know about These is My Words. Tell me when you finish so we can chat. It's goooood.

Apparently I need to find out...although I may not be able to hear it due to my very loud (and explosive) child.

i LOVE downton abbey! i missed the season two premier on sunday so i'm excited to watch it online hopefully tomorrow night to prepare myself for sunday's upcoming episode.
beware. i started thinking i would watch only one episode of season 1 before going to bed one night and ended up staying awake until 2am to finish it. :)
