Columbus has hit the big time. I just saw that teen phenom Justin Bieber will be in town this weekend as part of his world tour. Ohio's teeny boppers will be out in force to see him swing his perfectly coiffed hair and croon his mother-approved love songs. I had no idea who he was until earlier this year when my sisters showed me his Saturday Night Live skits with Tina Fey. Very funny. Then we saw him on American Idol and I realized he was a bona fide star. And wait- it doesn't stop there. Apparently none other that the fame monster, Lady Gaga herself will be here in March 2011. Fess up - Do you have Bieber Fever or are you a fan of the Gagster (my own personal name for her, pronounced "Gog-ster")? What's your favorite song? Did anyone else watch the Lady Gaga episode of Glee? I've been contemplating a post on my own mixed thoughts about LG so I'm interested to hear what others think.

I will be the first to say that I am a J-Bieb fan. Bieber Fever all the way, no shame in that. His songs are not only mother-approved, they're really good workout jams, just saying. I will also admit, I do enjoy many a Gaga song. However, I'm on the fence about her in terms of her media image/publicity stunts/wardrobe, etc. I do think she has real musical chops though. The Lady can rock a piano. I vote for her to be on SNL next season. THAT would be entertaining.
Ok I also admit that I have the Bieber fever. My kids and I have been known to jam out to 'Baby' and plenty of his other songs. I like LG, yes she is a "bit" crazy, but I think maybe thats what I like about her.
HATE Lady Gaga. You asked. :)

Ok--here's my problem with LG...what makes her 'Fashion Forward' when others who wear ridiculously crazy outfits just have bad style? Who makes that call? Just askin'because I've always wondered. And is she really a good singer or are we back in the 80s when an ok singer became cool because of the synthesizer mixes in the background.
Ha, I guess that came across as a little strongly opinionated didn't it? You know, from what I understand she IS very talented and gifted. I just think she is...nasty. It's her music videos that really put me over the edge. It (clothing, videos) is such a far cry from anything virtuous or upright and not inspired by anything good. She just makes me feel uneasy I guess. Can't argue that her tunes can be catchy though.
I am dying over Kira's comment. Belieber. Now, THAT'S a fan.
