Snow Much?

Aargh - Another snow day and no school! Between teacher conferences, school holidays, and snow days, we've had one out of seven possible days of school in the past week and a half. Hilliard seems a bit trigger happy with the whole cancellation thing, but maybe that's just me. Thankfully, Andy's sister is here to play with the kids. Her flight out last night was cancelled so now she'll be here until tomorrow morning. Hooray! Yesterday we met Andy for lunch, went bowling, stocked up at the grocery store, then drove home 20 mph in the snow. Today I think we're going to hit the library and then go see "The Princess and the Frog" at the dollar movies. This afternoon we might head over to the church gym to let Ben run off some steam.

What are you doing to keep the kiddos or yourself entertained in this wild, wintry weather?

I would fly to Arizona and bask in the 75 degree weather.

Liberary, sledding, building things with snow, cleaning, board games, being bored, eating junk food, watch Olympics, and do them over and over and over again.
Or, follow your friend's advice.

I agree with Bekka. It's nice here.

Oh, I remember those weeks! And yes, I totally agree that Hilliard gets way too trigger-happy with the school cancellations...fog for 5 minutes this morning--school is cancelled!

But I'm saying this coming from a school district where it has to be -40 degrees for them to cancel. Most of my friends who are from around here don't hardly remember a single day they missed school growing up. The last couple of months I've put my kids on the bus REGULARLY when it's registering -20 at my house.

Good luck...really...I know how you feel. :-) Your friend Bekka is on to something.

You are the perfect journalist. Always asking the perfect questions that can spark interesting conversation. So glad I've been able to get to know you better.

In answer to this particular question: I have been lying on the heat vent. It's worked wonders...still need to get me that lightbox though.:)

So funny! I think we did everything on your list during our snow days. Except we aren't supposed to have snow days here...
