After a few weeks of Lucy looking longingly at our food and grabbing at everything in our hands, we decided to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and start feeding her solids. First food: Peas!
Trying to figure out the whole tongue thing. More came back out than stayed in.
Anxiously awaiting the next shovelful.
I love the sparkle in her eye - she seems to know that a whole new world of gustatory delight is opening to her tiny palate.
Girlfriend loves her food. A woman after her mother's heart.
Because Lucy loves to grab her toes to much, she ended up with peas on her pants and toes.

Such a cutie! It looks like you're going to need to start bringing her to cooking club so she can enjoy groaning over recipes and food like the rest of us!

If you can find yourself a Bumbo tray (craigslist etc.) you'll have yourself a nice high chair with no toe grabbing for several months.
Sierra did everything in there!--or "everything" babies do--ie eat, poop, and bathe.
