Oh cruel, cruel world. The humanity of it all! Our microwave decided to go on the fritz last night and now there's no way to quickly heat water for my hot chocolate fix or to make oatmeal in the morning. Yes, I know that both can be done on the stove, but that just requires so much more effort. I'm talking instant gratification, people! We never realized that our microwave was the most used appliance in the house. Our oven was out of commission for a week last fall and we managed fine. Granted, we did still have the stovetop burners. Nevertheless, what does that say about my cooking?Andy walked up to the microwave yesterday evening and it just started making crazy beeping sounds, so I think there is some sort of suspicious voodoo magic involved.

I love ALL kitchen appliances because I love to cook.
My most despised appliance...my iron. I was so hoping Nanette would have seen the huge pile of ironing in the bedroom and finished it for me in June, but alas, no luck.
All summer: our blender. Mixed berry smoothies every morning, cilantro marinades and tomatillo dressing in the evening, that thing has been working overtime! It's starting to make really ugly sounds when I use it...rue the day it gives up and dies!
So sorry about the microwave--can't live without that one either!
