Major Milestone

Today Ben wrote his own name for the first time. He's written out individual letters before, but this time he sat down with a piece of paper and wrote his name. He then proceeded to write DAD and MOM and CHAR, which is the name of one of his aunties. This makes me think I really need to start doing some reading/writing lessons with him. Anyway, can you tell we're excited about this?

He's only three letters away from Bekka! Give that future mensa member a toughie with five letters. I know he can do it. I can't believe my baby monster is now a boy monster!

Your child is obviously a genius. Next time I see him I'm going to start his training for the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Ben today, appoggiatura tomorrow.

What??? Seriously??? Go Ben!!! Madi has yet to do this, although she did draw an 'M' today at church... nowhere near as legible as Ben's name. I'm so thrilled for him- he obviously takes after his brilliant book worm parents! I miss you guys.
