Remember this little piece of cinematic history, replete with one of the best dance scenes ever? Well, Ben is channeling his inner Napoleon Dynamite with some new dance moves. He got a little electronic keyboard for Christmas that comes with pre-recorded synthesizer music. Ben apparently really liked a disco tune that sounds like it's from a cheesy Asian nightclub and started dancing like crazy. Think Napoleon Dynamite meets Michael Jackson meets break dancing. Andy and I laughed for an hour while Ben shook his fanny, slapped his thighs, twisted and turned on the ground, the moves punctuated with shouts of "Skadoosh!" We had no idea what he was saying until someone informed me yesterday that it's from Kung Fu Panda. I'll let the dance speak for itself. Oh, I think the too-small tight white t-shirt really adds that dramatic flare.P.S. Our camera isn't great at taking video, so you might have to turn the sound up really loud to hear the music.

Uh-oh looks like that Beyonce video got to him. That kid's hips don't lie!
His moves during seconds 12 through 15 remind me of his auntie. And you are correct, the extra small t-shirt, with the belly hanging out, adds to the performance. Nigel Lythgoe would probably refer to his style as interesting. Mary Murphy would call Ben her "Hot Tamale", and Mia Michaels undoubtedly would refer to Ben's moves as "organic." And finally I would label his moves as "Buck", you know when internal artistry meets external expression.
Nollie, kids don't just come up with those kind of moves. He must have seen them. Perhaps seen his mother doing them. That's my bet.
I'm pretty sure he flashes the audience 21 seconds in.
Really Nollie, I think you should probably leave Ben with a sitter instead of taking him to your secret strip cardio classes. As Peach from Finding Nemo would say: "He's just a boy!"
Funny - I remember in college seeing Andy use those same moves...I belive that is what won Nollie over! Markley
i'm with jessica...ben definitely had to see those moves before! so cute.:)
Awwww, thanks for sharing. I needed that laugh! He is too cute. I have a similar video of Roman dancing that I'm thinking I should post now.
you have to be kidding me. that is hysterical. he actually has some great moves. good-bye golf, hello hip-hop.
Wow. That was awesome. Way to bust a move.
That is hilarious! He is too cute. That made me laugh. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that made me laugh out loud. I'm going to make sure Steve watches that too. So funny - he really can shake it to the beat and the belly shirt adds the perfect touch!
That's some good stuff! Did he get that talent from you or from Andy, because whomever the gene contributor is deserves to be featured showing off his or her talent in your next blog post. :-)
