Bracketology

Along with warmer weather and flowers, spring brings one other cherished tradition: March Madness and the ritual of filling out brackets for the NCAA Men's basketball tournament. I'm not a huge fan of watching sports on TV, but I do like watching college basketball. The players are so fast and athletic and the games go by quickly, versus the glacial pace of other televised sports which will remain unnamed. Andy and I have to make our picks tonight and figure out what the winner will receive.

There are some opening round games being held in Dayton, OH, which is only an hour from here. We looked into getting tickets for a game, but they're a cool $150 or so apiece. Looks like we'll be watching from the cheap seats on our couch.

If you want to fill out your own brackets, here's a link to one you can print out. If you're really hardcore, websites like ESPN host online bracket contests where you can keep track of your score. Will you be filling yours out?

P.S. Go Aggies!

Oh Yeah! I love March Madness. My side of the family always does the ESPN Tournament Challenge every year. May be this year I will be the winner. We should compare teams Nollie! You might be able to help me out.

Just had to give an "amen" to your Aggie shout out! Here's hoping for the upset! Though now that I think of it, isn't that the other great part of collegiate sports? There's so much more room for the underdog!

oh you just have to be kidding me. my absence in the blogging world has led to my missing the most important announcement that we have all been waiting for! HOORAY! CONGRATS! We are so, so excited for you. I think I may just have to give you a call tomorrow. Okay, I will.

Ok, I can't find the link now, but Steve was just showing me an online article today from some "nerd-jocks" that run stats and thousands of simulations and then make sports predictions. They put out a list of 12 possible cinderella stories. Their #2 scenario was the Aggies making the final four! I'll agree that's a long shot, but nice to see the boys getting some respect!!

Curtis and I do this every year and I always lose miserably to him. Go figure.

I hope you have better luck! {Or perhaps more familiarity with men's college basketball.}
