Kira, this post's for you. I saw a review of this book and knew that we needed it in our lives. I have a copy on reserve at the library, so scurry online and get one asap. Then we can be enlightened by the wisdom of your fashion icon.
This picture would look great on your dorm wall, no? Courtesy of Ikea.
For those of you who don't know Kira, she is my second-youngest sister (second from the left) who oozes 1960s poise and glamour, a la Audrey. She can rock large costume jewelry, dainty headbands, and cocktail dresses with the best of them. She is also the one who introduced the sistas to the pure joy of ballet flats. Kaylee (the stylist extrodinaire - far right) categorized Kira's style as "urban retro glam." BYU boys, watch out for Kira toolin' around Provo this summer on her fabulous Beach Cruiser bike, complete with basket and bell. In Kira's words, it's her "classy, eco-friendly, heart-healthy alternate mode of transportation in an aesthetically pleasing shade of seafoam green." If you have to go to summer school, might as well do it with panache.P.S. Sistas, think Kentucky Derby 2009. We can re-create the Ascot scene from My Fair Lady in a way that would make Henry Higgins (and Eliza Dolittle) proud. Start your hunt for enormous sunhats and gloves. Bex, maybe you can contact Jaimee Rose for some tips. :)

I love this post! And I definitely love your sister's choice of bike. I had one almost just like it on my mission. I certainly did not look like Audrey Hepburn while I was riding it, though... more like the wicked witch of the east. But that's another story for another time. :) I have missed reading your blog, Nollie. It's so fun!! I will become a regular again after finals are over next week.
Je l'aime mon ami! Did you know that Audrey Hepburn spoke five languages, french being one of them? Why wouldn't she? When you are already the style icon of the century what's being a posh polyglot on top of it? I need that book in my life. I need to be guided by the postmortal aura. She is the Je ne sais to my quoi.
Polyglot. What a fabulous word. Must work it into a conversation this week.
On a similar lexical note, there's a great website about all the world's languages and writing systems, Omniglot. :)
Speaking of languages, when did you acquire another one Kira? I felt like I was reading Rikker's Thai blog when I read your comment. I only speak English, ebonics, and cholo, please stick to those.
It must be fun to have so many cute sisters!! I am a big fan of Audrey too!
That is just too cool. I had always aspired to be Audrey-like but I was never petite or refined enough. I gave up as soon as I hit college realzing some dreams were simply out of my reach. I could never quite put my finger on it but, you, YOU my friend, you remind me of her.
