MythBusters

Here's the link to an article a friend of mine just wrote about common mommy myths. She's a natural writer and it made me laugh out loud multiple times. She keeps it real with her apt observations, quick wit, and wry humor. But while it's honest, you don't come away feeling like motherhood is a drag. Way to go A on being a published writer, you have a bright future ahead!

Confession: Contrary to the article and the experience of most moms I've talked to, I only do three, maybe four loads of laundry a week. I must be doing something wrong. Or I have a high tolerance for letting my kids re-wear clothes. If there are no visual stains on it, it's still clean, right? Undies are the exception, of course.

What's a common mommy myth you've observed?
Whether or not you have kids, fess up: What's the thing you swear/swore your kids will "never" do?

Thank you so much Nollie! You totally made my day. I appreciate it so much. And I only aspire to be as natural and good of a writer as you!

Ha ha! Just yesterday I was at the grocery store--Connor (the baby) was screaming non-stop and the dumb car-cart had broken wheels. I saw two ladies from the ward and watched Ethan eat food off the floor (at least it was his). He knows 4 words and his very first and most commonly used is "no!" Great post Nollie!

My nephew had the loudest, high pitch squeal when he was a baby. I didn't understand why they let him get away with that. Surely they could make it stop! It got on everyones nerves! Fast forward 11 years...my little miss H has the loudest squeal that I have ever heard. We get comments (usually unkind) everywnere we go. Some things you just can't control!

Great post - and Annie's rocked too! I knew my children would be naughty, since I was, and had a horrible temper. I did think I'd be able to get healthy breakfasts to my family most days, but cereal is a staple around here.
