I know, this blog has been horribly neglected over the past two months, so this is my first effort to reconcile the error. Ben, Lucy, and I went to the park yesterday and found a magical wonderland of gorgeous fall leaves. By great luck, we happened to be there with two other moms who are talented photographers and one of them was kind enough to snap this picture of us.P.S. You'll notice Ben's red upper lip. Any tips for healing chapped lips that a certain boy won't permit to accept Vaseline?

It seems boys lick their lips way more that girls. I see it at school all the time. This is what I used to do: as soon as Ben is asleep put on a bit of neosporin, then vaseline.
I've heard lanolin works really well. I also really like neosporin lip treatment. Another thought - it may be something else like a yeast infection or eczema - I've seen both around my kids mouths.
Jansen's are chapped too, Maybe do it after he falls asleep???
What great photos! Ben is so handsome, and cute little Lucy! She is such a precious little baby. How little is now? The get so big so fast!
I'm not so sure about your repentant ways. I'll need more posts to become a believer. It's a cute picture of the two of you but it's missing the newest star, Lucy! I need lil' Lue pictures stat.

Sounds like he takes after a certain auntie who shall remain nameless. The trick with chapped lips is to get them to want something on them, though the sleep idea is great. How about a Chapstick-type tube that he picks out - perhaps with Lightning McQueen or in some fancy flavor. I recommend colorless. Do you remember having a bunch of Lipsmackers? Seems like a bought a lot of them. Good luck. Great picture!
Like I asked Heather, 3 people I love was in one spot and I was not there!?! You look awesome in the picture-exactlly how you look everyday. Let Ben pick a chap-stick. Tell him that it is an eraser to take away the red. Mommy has red lip stick, boys have chap stick to make sure there is no extra red on their lips.
Jordan's lips has tendency to get more red and chappy than girls, and he doesn't even lick his lips.
